Aurora - Hull #70

Picture
Aurora is currently for sale!

From the previous owner, when the boat was named Wandering Star:
"Her name was Active Material when I bought her in December of 2005. I was the third owner. The man I bought her from was a nuclear engineer so hence the name. Anyway, the original owner was the North Sails rep for the eastern region so he equipped her with every single gadget available for sail control and then demonstrated sails with her. The amount of adjustment was awesome but could easily turn counterproductive if you don't have a very keen understanding and recognition of sail control and condition. In short, the amount of tinkering can turn a leisurely sail or passage into a micro-managers dream! Haha. In race trim, and I did race her on occasion in different places, she could actually exceed her theoretical hull speed. Not by too much but it sure came in handy when being classed and the competitions boats. The 34-2 class is certainly a perfect gem in amongst average stones.
