Hull # 84 - TRITON
Mike and Lynn had a Tartan 33 # 221 and raced it with great success. After a detour sailing a J/Boat, they returned to Tartan in 2014. They purchased their 1987 Tartan 34-2 # 84, "Triton," from the original owner. Mike notes that the T34-2 performs best sailed flat as you can keep her, in light air she burns rubber with the proper trim. He loves how S&S designed the sail control layout with all the sheets in reach of the helm, as you don't need the whole crew just to manage the sails.
Triton has been constantly upgraded thru the years and with the energy of new owners Mike and Lynn are continuing the tradition with enthusiasm. Mike and Lynn sail mostly in Long Island Sound and enjoying sleep overs. While ready to cruise with plenty of chain and tanks full, Triton is still fast enough to bring home a trophy for the crew's efforts on the race course
