Tartan 34-2 Hull ID

The Tartan 34-2 Hull ID has the hull number embedded in it. My hull ID is TAR34009J485. The hull number is the third through fifth positions, in this example 009. The remainder identifies the build date and model year.

I have a 1985 scheel keel Tartan 34 -2. The rudder was bent on a remote reef in Belize today. Does anyone know where I can contact for a shaft replacement new or used, asap. Thanks

After asking on the Yahoo Tartan group I receive this reply from Bob, T-33 #212, "Larina:" I checked Tartan Parts and they have T-33 rudders listed for $2,690.00, it
may be the same for the 34/2.

One thing to check is the rudder post diameter before ordering, I have heard
that all were not created the same.
